Amy Shark 2025

Parallel represents dancers moving on individual yet aligned paths, sharing a direction or a purpose without needing to mirror each other exactly. Parallel speaks to the idea of unity without uniformity, that dancers can coexist with independence while still moving forward together, creating cohesion through intention. Movement side-by-side reflects the connection between each of the performers, where each dancer maintains their individuality while moving in harmony with others. Parallel brings equality, collaboration, and trust through each dance piece, reminding usthat while dance can be a solo journey, it is often strengthened by the presence of others walking and dancing alongside us.

Parallel represents dancers moving on individual yet aligned paths, sharing a direction or a purpose without needing to mirror each other exactly. Parallel speaks to the idea of unity without uniformity, that dancers can coexist with independence while still moving forward together, creating cohesion through intention. Movement side-by-side reflects the connection between each of the performers, where each dancer maintains their individuality while moving in harmony with others. Parallel brings equality, collaboration, and trust through each dance piece, reminding usthat while dance can be a solo journey, it is often strengthened by the presence of others walking and dancing alongside us.
